Antietam High School

from NORTH...Rt. 61 South towards Reading. After going through Leesport (Burger King on left), you will come to a traffic light . (diner on the left) This is the intersection with Rt. 73. Turn left onto Rt. 73 East and go past Schuylkill Valley High School on the left. The 2nd traffic light is at the intersection with Rt. 222. Continue through this light. ** Next light is in Blandon. (Turkey Hill on left) Continue through this light. (still on Rt. 73 East) Next traffic light is at the intersection with Rt. 12. (Redners Quik Shop on opposite left corner) Continue through light on Rt. 73 East down hill into Oley. You will see a sign that says Mt. Penn Ð 7 miles-Right. At next traffic light (gas station on left and Kings Supermarket), turn right onto Friedensburg Road and go 5 miles. You will go past the BCTC (vo-tech) School on the left and the Oley Elementary Center. Four miles past the schools, you will be coming into a small village called Stony Creek and a strange intersection. (3 different turns) (VW sales and mechanic shop in front of you) Turn left onto Carsonia Ave. (VW shop will now be on your right) and a quick left again onto Antietam Road. This will take you to our school.

Rt. 222 South to the intersection with Rt. 73. Turn left onto Rt. 73 East. Follow directions above at **.

To "A" Field...Turn left onto Carsonia Ave. (VW shop is now on your right). Continue on Carsonia Ave. for a bout 1 mile and you will go past a Redners food Store on the left. You will come to a traffic light. Go to 2nd street past the traffic light and turn left onto High St. Continue to field. (2 miles from high school)

From SOUTH....Take Rt. 222 North towards Reading. As you are getting close to Shillington you will look for a sign for Rt. 724 West. (at this large traffic light intersection you will see A.C. Moore on your right, Arby's on right, Dempsey's Diner on left and K-Mart on the left. Turn left at this light onto Rt. 724 West. Continue past 3 lights and look for a sign that reads TO Rt. 422 and Rt. 222. Turn right onto this new by-pass. Continue and you will notice the Berkshire Mall on your left and the INN at READING on your right. You will see signs for Rt. 422 East. Just past the Inn at Reading, bear right onto Rt. 422 East. Continue past exits for Wyomissing Blvd, West Reading, Reading, and Morgantown. Take the next exit for Mt. Penn. Go to top of exit ramp and turn left. Continue to 3rd light. M&T Bank is on the right, Sovereign Bank is across the street. Turn left onto Rt. 422 West - Business also listed as Perkiomen Avenue. Continue and you will pass McDonalds on left, Wendy's on left and a Turkey Hill Minit Market on the left. You will come to a traffic light. Wachovia Bank is in front of you. Turn right onto N. 23rd St. In about 2 blocks, this will become Carsonia Ave. Continue down Carsonia Ave. past a Redner's food market. Continue for about one mile past Redner's to a stop sign. ** Turn right just before you get to the stop sign. (Do not go over the bridge.) This is Antietam Road. Continue to the far end of the school. Gym is on your right and the parking lot next to the gym.

To Antietam "A" field...Use the Directions above til you get onto 422 Business.When you get to McDonalds, turn right onto Rt. 562 East (St. Lawrence Ave.) Continue to 1st traffic light (Turkey Hill on left corner) Turn left onto Prospect St. Continue to 2nd stop sign. Field is to your left. Turn left - go to end of block for baseball and boys' soccer. Field hockey and girls' JH soccer - turn left and park.

Directions to Antietam High School from WEST...(Rt. 422) Rt. 422 East into Sinking Spring. (Penn Ave.) When you see a Burger King on your left, get in the right lane. You will come to a traffic light at McDonalds. Turn right onto Rt. 724 East at McDonalds (Shillington Road). Go 1.4 miles (you will go past Berks Lanes Bowling alley on the right and a shopping center with Giant food store in it on your left). You will go through a traffic light and go over a small bridge Ð immediately get in left lane and turn left onto ramp for Rt. 422 East and Rt. 222 North. (this is a new highway) Continue on Rt. 422 East/Rt. 222 North (do not exit for Penn Ave.) Continue and you will go past the Berkshire Mall on your left and the INN at READING on your right _ mile ahead. You will see signs for Rt. 422 East- Pottstown. Just past the Inn at Reading, bear right onto Rt. 422 East-Pottstown. Continue past exits for North Wyomissing Blvd, West Reading-Penn Ave., Reading-Penn St., Lancaster Ave (Rt. 222 south). and Morgantown. Take the next exit for Mt. Penn. Go to top of exit ramp and turn left. Continue to 3rd light. All First Bank is on the right, Sovereign Bank is across the street. Turn left onto Rt. 422 West Ð Business also listed as Perkiomen Avenue. ** Stay in left lane. Continue and you will pass McDonalds on left, WendyÕs on left and a Turkey Hill Minit Market on the left. You will come to a traffic light. First Union Bank is in front of you. Turn right onto N. 23rd St. In about 2 blocks, this will become Carsonia Ave. Continue down Carsonia Ave. past a Redners food market. Continue for about _ of a mile past Redners to a stop sign. ** Turn right just before you get to the stop sign. Do not go through the stop sign. This is Antietam Road. Continue to the far end of the school. Gym is on your right.
